First Weekend

I signed up for one of those tumblr accounts this morning. I’m not sure how long it will last – probably not long. I mean, I would rather write and post here instead of put in little blurbs and millions of photos up on that thing. But I figure, may as well give it a go, even if it is deleted in a week. There are just too many things the internet offers now-a-days that create an almost never-ending checklist of things to update.
Now that I’m back at school, it feels like Christmas break never actually happened. Bizarre. However, I am now student supervisor of the photography and ceramics departments in the art building, I’m taking athletic photographs at various points throughout the semester, I’m trying to throw stuff that I can sell this spring at the student sale, and I’m just generally running around trying to do fun things outside of class.
A preview for the semester, as of now:
College Health Topics: EASY EASY EASY! We had class the first day, but our actual teacher (the soccer coach) won’t be back ’till next Wednesday. So yesterday there was nothing, and Monday is MLK Day so no classes then. And the fact that it’s the first seven weeks makes things THAT much better.
Abnormal Psychology: I’m already fascinated by this class and we’ve just started the very beginning of intro stuff. People are weird and people’s brains are weird. I’m honestly excited to learn about all that weird stuff. And my professor looks like Barak Obama.
Light Media: I’ve been doing this stuff for, well, forever. But there are new techniques that I will be learning, new processes, and other fun stuff. Really, I’m excited to start working in the darkroom again while also taking a class.
Digital Imaging: Well, I’ll learn how to make legit digital things on a mac. Some projects seem cool, but like Light Media, I haven’t received a syllabus yet.
Early 20th Century Art: A required class, but I get to write my term paper and do my presentation work on architecture, design, and photography (mostly photography though). Oh – and basically if we’re all good students, we won’t have to take the final exam, just write the term paper. This is nice.
Oh – and Friday I get to have my intent to graduate interview thingy with the registrar. Um… what happened to my college life?

Heh, I got a tumblr a while ago too, updated it for a few weeks, and then now it’s just gathering dust. I find it somewhere between twitter and a blog, and I’m too lazy to update my twitter semi regularly as it is.

Aye… well when the teacher is one of the soccer coaches it can’t be too bad. It’s basically like an easier, shorter version of the heal classes I had in high school :P
